The course meets the needs of students wishing to pursue a career in Interactive Media related areas such as games concept design, 2D and 3D digital animation and website , CD-ROM and DVD design. Interactive media ? formerly known as multimedia ? allows students to combine digital technology with design and movement to produce an exciting and imaginative mix of 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics, interactive design and image manipulation ? from life drawing to digital painting and from graphic design to game concept design. The course develops skills fundamental to the industry such as planning, creation of storyboards and the use of industrial standard hardware and software. Students additionally undertake Functional Skills in either Maths, English or ICT as part of their full-time course along with Workskills for Art and Design.
