The course aims to further the skills, knowledge and tactics to improve your communication skills gained on the Introduction course.- You will work toward the following: - Listen for and identify relevant information from explanations on a range of topics - Use strategies to clarify and confirm understanding eg body language - Engage in discussion and use conversation tactics - Lip Reading skills, lip patterns - Memory, concentration and anticipation development - Ability to be assertive - Knowledge of environmental aids and loop systems Teaching and Learning activities: group and individual instruction, role-play, demonstration, discussion and pair / group work
