Health & Social Care Level 3 Diploma

This course is the recognised qualification for people working in the health and social care sector. There are three pathways: Generic, Dementia and Learning Disability. The course is ideal for an experienced care assistant with some supervisory responsibility. Students must be 18 or over to enrol and you must have at least one year's current experience working in the care sector and or have an existing relevant Level 2 qualification.As this course requires a good level of English, you will undertake an assessment during the first class to confirm your place. You will need to be employed for a minimum of 14 hours per week in a health and social care setting at the start of, and for the duration of, this course, as you will be assessed in the workplace. We will need to obtain a reference from your employer prior to you starting on the course. You will attend college 3 hours a week for 10 weeks, to cover the mandatory units. After this time you will work one to one with your assessor. It is expected that during this time you will attend weekly workshops on a Wednesday afternoon between 35pm. This course will help improve your promotion and employment prospects in a range of health and social care settings. After successfully completing this qualification, you may wish to further develop yourself through a range of CPD courses or if you progress in to management, you may wish to undertake the Leadership for Health and Social Care Level 5 Diploma. Government funding has changed for this course and is dependent upon your age and personal circumstances. Therefore, course costs are discussed on an individual basis.
