Access To HE Blended Programme

UPDATED 20160509 09:35:50

Access to HE Diplomas are well established, national qualifications which allow students without traditional Level 3 qualifications to apply for degree courses and enter university. Our highly successful Access to Humanities & Social Science Blended Learning course is a flexible route to an Access Diploma which may be taken over one year; eighteen months or two years according to the student's needs. The course is taught through a blend of in class teaching (with face to face teaching sessions once every three weeks); individual tutorials (available by arrangement); phone and e-mail tutorials as necessary. Students have access to tutors at a weekly tutorial support sessions. Resources for learning are provided to student on the programme a 'distance learning model', with e-lectures available from a secure web area which also provides access to other resources for student use. Students will be expected to have listened to lectures and undertaken assignment tasks prior to attendance at sessions (which are focussed upon the completion of assessed / graded work). Completion of the Diploma may also be a beneficial qualification for students looking to go directly into employment, where Level 3 qualifications are required.
