S05C03F: To provide the student with the knowledge and practical skills required to carry out basic carpentry tasks around the home. This course is designed to promote safe and sustainable practice for you and others. It is for those with little or no prior experience.

Name: Diy Basics - Carpentry Qualification title: Non regulated Community Learning provision, Building and Construction Qualification type: Assessment You will be asked to complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) at the beginning of the course/workshop. The ILP is a way for you to identify your strengths, challenges and interests and set your own personal targets. This, in turn, will inform the tutor of your starting point and ensure you get the best out of your course. With your tutor you will revisit the ILP regularly so that progress and further actions can be discussed, agreed and recorded.
