Lithography

Discover the magical properties of grease and water through the painterly printmaking process of lithography, drawing directly on zinc plates as well as exploring the original method using litho stones and introducing Kitchen Litho using simple household products.

Entry requirements

Please bring: pencils, a small paintbrush and a sketchbook or notebook., , Protective clothing is provided, or you can bring your own apron and rubber gloves. The course fee includes most studio consumables (ink, cleaning materials, solvents etc) but you will have to pay for paper, etching plates/ lino blocks etc. These are available to buy in the department at cost price. Further requirements will be discussed at the first and subsequent classes.
