On this course you will continue to develop your skills in upholstery. Once you have successfully completed one project you can progress onto a further project. You will need to source your own items of furniture to re-upholster. We recommend that you start with a small project such as a stool or drop dining chair so that you can continue to build your skills from there or similar small scale projects will be appropriate. This course will assist you to complete up to two projects: Project 1 - a 'stool' or 'drop-in' dining chair Project 2 - a 'over stuffed' or 'sprung' chair By the end of the course you will be able to do the following: Identify an item of furniture that requires restoration Identify what upholstery techniques are required to restore your project item Quantify the amount of materials and sundries required to complete your project Demonstrate a high level of health and safety procedures in the workshop and studio Complete your project to a high standard
