Active for Life - Body Tone

This Active for Life Pay As You Go Body Tone class in Broadstairs has been designed for the active, older adult, but is open to anyone who would like to improve their fitness and health and enjoys group exercise classes. , , This is a low to medium impact cardio class, using resistance equipment to tone and sculpt your body and includes floor based strength and flexibility exercises. , , During the sessions you will be able to:, - Use basic resistance equipment safely, - Perform muscle, strength and endurance exercises, - Locate muscle groups, - Practise cardiovascular moves, - Exercise independently to music with minimal guidance, - Identify specific exercises for personal use outside of the class. , - Recount at least three ways in which exercises can benefit health and wellbeing throughout various life stages., , You will need to be able to follow verbal instructions, observe and copy physical movements and use spatial awareness within a group. Although there is no specific work set outside of the class, students will gain most benefit if exercises are performed regularly and practised between classes., This is a mixed ability course; suitable for beginners and more experienced students., , , Please take a moment to consider the list below. Denim jeans, formal trousers, shorts, skirts or dresses are not suitable for this activity. Supportive trainers are needed to support the feet and ankles.
