This half-day course will explore psychological issues relating to stress and happiness. Students will discover practical exercises to overcome stress in our daily lives and explore positive psychology principles, tools and techniques. Topics covered and questions addressed during the course include:-, • Positive and negative stress, • Psychological perspectives and research on human happiness , • Understanding and playing to our strengths, • Finding our passion - identifying our values and what matters to us most in life, • Mindfulness and meditation techniques, , You can assess your learning through the course discussions, question and answer and tutor comments and feedback. Any adult with an interest in psychology, no previous knowledge or experience is required. A good understanding of English is essential.
