Sociology is the study of social behaviour or society, including its development, organisation, and institutions. It is a social science that uses empirical investigation and critical analysis to develop a knowledge of social order, disorder, and change. Students will develop skills valued by higher education and employers, including critical analysis, independent thinking and research. Coursework includes Education, Methods in Context, and Research Methods, with optional units of Culture and Identity, Families and Households, Health, Work Poverty and Welfare.
