This course is the extension and continuation of the Intermediate Plus course held during the academic year 2015-2016., The course is open to everybody who would like to be able to use the Italian language in a range of real life situations and is for anyone who wants to develop their skills further especially relating to speaking skills., , Successful students will be able to: , • Communicate on a wider range of topics and be able to extract details accurately from various sources, • Obtain information from more complex texts and deal with topics of a familiar/unfamiliar nature with the help of a dictionary, • Produce text of varying length and for varying purposes using a combination of simple and more complex sentences, • Use the conditional tense, • Use the subjunctive mood, • Describe (people, places, situations, events etc in the present, past future tense, • Give and follow specific instructions, • Make different types arrangements (invite people for dinner, arrange a trip abroad, discuss topics realted to emergencies), • Express an opinion (using the present tense or the subjunctive), * Read and discuss text, articles from newspaper and magazines using the right terms, expression and tenses, • Listen and respond to information from a range of sources (telephone messages, news headlines/public announcements, instructions, conversati, • Deal with unforeseen situation, problems and complaints, , Grammar will be revised and expanded especially for the Conditional and Subjunctive. You will practice/strengthen to use expressions and forms appropriate to the language using present, future and some past tenses. You will be given small amounts of homework (1 hour max) each week to reinforce classroom learning.
