This course is ideal for those who have some clothesmaking experience and who would like to try a more challenging project. The Summer Term offers you a step by step guide to sewing a shirt. You may progress to a garment of your choice as time permits. The first week will be spent making a collar sample and discussing appropriate fabric and pattern choices for your garment., , This 10 week course focuses on:, • using a pattern to make a garment that fits, • shirt collars, • shirt cuffs, • shirt yoke, • flat fell seams and top stitched seams, • button placket front fastening, • top stitching, , This class is ideal for absolute beginners or those who need some extra confidence to restart using the sewing machine, as well as those who have completed term 1 and or term 2 of the Beginners course.
