Here is a chance to make two seasonal arrangements to decorate your home, a seasonal Easter basket and Easter Egg Tree., By the end of the day you should be able to: , • Create two different styles of designs using fresh plant materials which may also include Easter accessories., • Demonstrate an understanding of how to use the mechanics necessary to achieve the floral designs made., • Show understanding of the care and conditioning needs of the plant material used., • Incorporate design elements within the arrangements., , , Suitable for those wishing to develop their flower arranging skills with beginners also welcome.,

Entry requirements

Students need to provide their own plant material i.e. flowers and foliage, containers, mechanics, floral foam and accessories. Good scissors and secateurs, a notebook and pen, a table covering together with a camera/phone for recording your work. , Floral foam and basic mechanics are available to purchase in class., First Design: Easter Basket, Container: a basket of your choice (not too small) contemporary or traditional in style If your basket is lined please make sure it is watertight, if unlined it will need a container put into it., Plant Material: a selection of flowers ideally including some Spring varieties and some foliages., Accessories - Easter style - to incorporate within the design if you so wish., Second Design: Easter Egg Tree, Container: a round ceramic plant pot approximate measurements 15cms (6") diameter and 13cms (5")deep and a plastic plant pot saucer (not essential but helpful) which rests safely in the top of the pot. , Plant Material: Slender branches coming into life, height approximately 60cms (24"), quantity at least 6. Enough foliage to place around the base of the arrangement and a few flowers if you would like., Accessories - plastic Easter eggs or similar to hang on the branches.
