What will I study? You will learn about Travel and Tourism in the UK and abroad in both European and long-haul destinations. You will learn the importance of Customer Service, Marketing, Travel and Tourism products, what it is like to work as a Holiday Representative, entertainment in the sector and how to organise events. You will also develop your skills in preparation for employment. You will study from a selection of units, including: - Investigating Travel and Tourism - The business of Travel and Tourism - The UK as a destination - Customer service - Preparation for employment - European destinations - Retail travel operations - Working as a Holiday Representative - Events, conferences and exhibitions - Residential travel You will gain valuable experience of the travel sector, with work placements and activities organised alongside your studies. This will help to develop your CV in preparation for future employment. Many students choose international work placements and gain experience as customer service hosts at events across London.
