You will study core modules including: - Introduction to Marketing - Business Environment and Business Law - Introduction to Finance and Information Systems - Human Resource Management - Management in Organisations. Further 'Optional' modules are then selected from a pool of business modules. Students may also choose modules that will lead to an area of specialisation in their final year of an Honours programme. Optional modules include: - Small Business and Entrepreneurship - Financial Management - E-Business and Web Design - Visual Merchandising and Psychology - Corporate Social Responsibility Important information A number of course assessments will be based in or will relate to the workplace so work place experience is desirable for this course. UCAS code N100 Employability The employment record for this course is excellent, and recent graduates have gone onto jobs such as PA, Receptionist, Supervisor, Administrative Officer and Sales Operative. The course will enable you to develop a wide range of employability skills through the experience you will gain during the course as well as an emphasis on a vocational approach to teaching. One typical career path is to work within a Marketing Department. You will help to develop marketing campaigns to promote a product, service or idea. Excellent writing and confident presentation skills are essential to work in marketing. Good people skills are also a must as networking is particularly important. So is having a creative and adaptive mind.
