This qualification is a national requirement to become a registered hairdresser. Learners will study the theory of hairdressing in 'Headstart', our fully equipped and newly refurbished commercial salon. Learners will also be working with members of the public to put their skills into practice. Contents include: Colouring techniques Cutting Style and finish Setting and dressing Health and safety Perming Reception skills Client consultation Plaiting and twisting Promoting products and services to clients Display and stacking products to promote sales As part of this study programme you will work towards English and Maths. This will provide learners with the skills needed to perform confidently,effectively and independently in learning,life and work. Learners will enjoy visits to hair and beauty exhibitions including Beauty Uk and the Clothes Show.
