DRAWING AND PAINTING TECHNIQUES

This course combines tuition in basic techniques for beginners and more challenging projects for students with experience. It aims to develop your individual potential, both technical and creative with various techniques of drawing and painting. You will be using mediums such as: pencil, acrylics, charcoal, watercolours and oils. You will be involved in a variety of projects, which introduce different media alongside demonstrations and discussions. Basic watercolours - either a small 'pan' (block) set of about 10 colours or 3 tubes (alizarin, crimson cadmium yellow, ultra marine blue). Pencils - 2B and 4B, Sheets of watercolour paper - Bockingford 140 and a putty rubber. There is an option to register for an NCFE qualification. Your tutor will discuss the details with you at the start of the course and if you choose this route you will be enrolled onto the qualification. There will be extra costs to take the qualification.
