International Access to Further Education

A specially designed programme for international students who have completed 10 years of school and want to continue their studies in Further Education in the United Kingdom. This course is a progression route onto A-level or vocational study at Gloucestershire College and it will prepare you for the demands of going on to study alongside British students. The course is full-time, over 1 academic year (September - June) 16.5 hours of English including General English, Exam practice, Academic writing, British life and culture, Study skills. Study 2 academic subjects at GCSE or AS level. Personal tutorials. Opportunity to take the IELTS, FCE or PET exam Access to enrichment opportunities and college facilities Students will be entered for the exams once they have shown dedication and have achieved the necessary marks throughout the course. There is no guarantee a student will be entered for the GCSE exams. 90% or higher attendance is expected for all classes.
