AAT L2 Certificate for Accounting Technicians Apprenticeship

This course is an ideal starting point for a school-leaver, someone returning to the workplace, or someone who has not studied for a while. Learners must attend college for one four hour lesson per week. The course covers five units relating to basic accounting I, basic accounting II, working effectively in accounting, basic costing and computerized accounting. Apprentices will also complete Employers' Rights and Responsibilities, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills and depending previous achievement Key Skill Communication Level 2 and Application of Number Level 1. Assessment is based on four computer based examinations plus one AAT based case study or workplace evidence. In addition to attending college, students will be expected to undertake between 2-3 hours additional study out of college This is a work-based learning programme. You will be in paid employment and will work in an accounts environment for 4 days a week and attend college on a day release basis one day a week.
