- To be able to categorise costs into direct and indirect costs, variable, semi-variable and fixed costs; - To be able to construct fixed and variable budgets based on given volumes and operate a more effective variance analysis - To facilitate a greater understanding of cost categorisation and behaviour and their impact on budgeting/profits and variance analysis.
