Whilst studying towards this qualification both the theory and practical aspects of the following units will be covered: * Health & Safety and Good Housekeeping in the Automotive Environment * Job Roles in the Automotive Environment * Materials, Fabrication, Tools and Measuring Devices used in the Automotive Environment * Diagnosis and Rectification of Light Vehicle Auxiliary Electrical Faults * Diagnosis and Rectification of Light Vehicle Engine Faults * Diagnosis and Rectification of Light Vehicle Chassis System Faults * Diagnosis and Rectification of Light Vehicle Transmission and Driveline Faults * Inspecting Light Vehicles Using Prescribed Methods. Students will also gain a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace and other skills associated with working in a garage.
