Studying Product Design offers a chance for you to improve the way we live in many ways, be it technically, commercially or sustainably. Shape, colour, user perception, usability and sustainability are just some of the elements you will learn to work with. What will I learn? Innovation Challenge This is a seven hour design challenge exam which assesses your ability to be innovative, demonstrate flair, work with materials and apply knowledge and skills gained throughout the AS Course. Product Study This is an inclusive design and make task set by designers from Ideal Standard who will make regular visits throughout. This provides great links with industry and gives valuable experience working with real world clients. Design, Make and Evaluate In this unit you are required to produce a coursework portfolio and product which fully demonstrates your designing, making and evaluation skills, using creativity, flair and innovation. Product Design This is an exam which incorporates all the knowledge you have gained over the course. The main subject content is focused towards products, applications and your analysis.
