Through studying A Level Food Technology students will deepen their understanding of the science behind component parts of their dishes in addition to experimenting with ingredients. They will have the opportunity to develop their own ideas and recipes using the knowledge they have gained to devise interesting, healthy and delicious meals. There will be extensive practical work so be prepared to cook or set up experiments several times a week. The emphasis is on healthy eating so an interest in this area is needed. Studying Food Technology is an excellent way to develop existing knowledge and interest in current health and food issues
