C&G Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Professional Cookery

During the Course you will study both compulsory and optional units to achieve 56 credit. Optional Units totalling 45 Credits are chosen from a range of complex fish, meat, poultry, pasta and soup dishes. Compulary Units totalling 11 Credits include; ; Developing productive working relationships with colleagues ; Maintaining the health, hygiene, safety and security of the working environment ; Maintaining food safety when storing and preparing food ; Monitoring and maintaining the health, safety and security of workers, customers and other members of the general public You will also complete a certificate in pastry and confectionery. Alongside your main programme of study you will also study either GCSE or Functional Skills in English and Maths if you have not achieved a GCSE grade A*-C. If you have achieved a grade C or above in English and Maths then you will engage in extending these skills through a project based activity.
