UPDATED 20160317 16:19:47

Is this the right course for me? You should have a good working knowledge of Excel, including data entry and formatting. Ideally you will have good knowledge of the content covered in the Introduction and Improvers courses. What will I learn? You will learn how to take Excel further by using functions and embedding them into forms. Logical and lookup functions, statistical, database and information functions. How to use the function auditing tool. Time to practise and ask specific questions. How will I learn? You will learn through a combination of demonstrations and hands-on practice. You will also receive handouts to take away and study at home in your own time. Will I gain a qualification? You will not gain a formal qualification but you may receive a Certificate of Attendance from your tutor. What can I do next? If you would like to explore Excel further we offer various modules of Excel e.g. Pivot Tables, Macros, plus Excel Intermediate and Advanced courses. There are opportunities to achieve ITQ units in Excel at levels 1 & 2 in our brochure and at our Flexible Learning Centres. What do I need to bring to the classes? Notepad and pen. You may wish to bring a packed lunch. Hot and cold drinks can be purchased at the centre. Can I talk to someone about my course before I start it? It is usually possible to put you directly in touch with the tutor if a member of the Community Learning MK staff cannot answer your query.
