This course will help you explore, research and develop ideas in a variety of approaches to illustration. Pen and ink, watercolour, collage and basic printing techniques will be some of the techniques covered. Projects will include Children's books, cards and cartoons and the emphasis will be placed on building confidence in expressing ideas directly from imagination and memory rather than from photographs. By the end of the course you will be able to:, Create a series of drawings to develop into a final illustration, Use mixed media to develop an idea, Use researched ideas from different sources to develop a final idea, Be aware of and work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines, Those who have an interest in illustration and have an art background or students who have some experience in Illustration and what ti develop their skills further. , It is important to note that Art courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity. If you need to bring a carer withe you or be accompanied by another adult please ask to speak to a Programme Manager before you enrol.
