What will I do on this study programme? This study programme will give you the knowledge and experience to start making some informed choices about future career paths in the health and social care sector. You may be surprised at the wide variety of roles and skills that are required in the health and social care sector and our aim is to develop your practical and communication skills as well as your knowledge. You will attend work placements in a diverse range of settings and will have the opportunity to experience first-hand the many professional roles that may be involved in providing care in early years and health and social care settings. We are also committed to developing the other skills and qualifications you will need to obtain employment and progress. Report writing and activities such as early years and health and social care settings administration are key responsibilities in this sector and Maths and English is therefore a fundamental element of this study programme. Topics you will study include human life span development, human body systems, the impact of nutrition on health and well-being, health and social care values.
