You will develop your reading and writing skills in a supportive and friendly environment.You will build on previous knowledge of reading techniques such as how to skim and scan for meaning, identify inference and tone. You will learn how to plan, draft and edit your writing; using format and structure for different purposes as well as how to organise your writing by using a range of cohesive devices and paragraphing. Classes will include work on extending the range and accuracy of your language appropriate to this level but grammar is not the prime focus of this course.
