You will be taught the basic operations of the camera such as the effect of exposure time, aperture, ISO, white balance and focal length. Basic Photoshop skills will be taught to allow you to fine tune your images. We will also introduce short assignments that allow you to explore genres such as still-life, landscape and portraiture.

A very high quality compact, or a 'bridge' camera with access to manual controls may be suitable but please check in advance. Manual focus is desirable but not essential. Portable data storage is required, i.e. portable hard-drive (Mac compatible). A USB flash drive will also be very useful.
