UPDATED 20160301 11:30:55

This course aims to develop students' knowledge and understanding of the living world. Biology is a diverse subject that covers life from the smallest organisms to the biggest ecosystems and from the speed of nerve conduction to the history of life on Earth. Biology combines the best of the quantitative sciences with the qualitative approaches of the humanities and hence is an excellent subject choice for any student to create a balanced subject profile at A Level. As well as developing a theoretical understanding of organisms, students will engage in a wide range of practical activities, to develop the skills of scientific enquiry, leading to an award of the Practical Endorsement. The course also provides students with the opportunity of Field Studies at a residential centre. Please contact provider for more information.
