Product Design (3D Design) is a course that offers candidates an opportunity to gain personal satisfaction and a positive experience from working with a variety of materials. The practical problem solving processes in the course encourage creativity and innovation. The course is split into 4 modules, 2 at AS level and 2 at A2 focussing on a range of technological activities from product analysis, product development to materials components and systems with a mix of coursework and theory. Candidates will study design and designers and their contributions to society whilst looking at the historical development of products as well as producing three dimensional outcomes to solve a given need.
