Psychology is the scientific study of how humans and animals behave and how their minds work. The human mind is the most complex machine on earth and is the source of all thought and behaviour. Studying psychology will give you a real understanding of how science works, as well as a greater understanding of yourself and others. Psychology is very popular within KPS, and results are excellent. Many of our students do go on to study Psychology at university, but for those who are interested in alternative paths of study, psychology is useful in terms of the many transferable skills it teaches. Psychology is useful for a range of careers. No previous knowledge of psychology is required for A Level psychology. However, you do need at least a B grade GCSE pass in Maths, Science and English to study psychology at A Level. You also need an enquiring mind!
