The ability to speak a foreign language is becoming ever more important in the workplace and is a skill highly valued by employers. An A Level in a Modern Language is a well-respected and highly thought of qualification for anyone wishing to go to university. A Level French offers students who have successfully studied GCSE French the chance to extend and develop their ability in the language and to broaden their experience and knowledge of France. The course builds on topic areas covered at GCSE and encourages students to communicate confidently, clearly and effectively in French using increasingly accurate, complex and varied language. Students will also be able to develop critical insights into the contemporary society, cultural background and heritage of France and the Francophone world.
