Creative Media Film/TV BTEC

The course gives students the opportunity to learn about the TV and Film industries and their relationships with their audiences. The course also gives student an insight into the different types of jobs available in various sectors and the skills needed to undertake various roles. Students will be given the opportunity to produce professional media products, such as documentaries, advertisements and dramas, and will be involved in the production of a weekly live TV programme The Media Department produces a weekly TV programme, which is broadcast live to the school every Friday. Students also run a radio station that is broadcast through a restricted service licence for one month every year and is available online throughout term times.
