At AS Level Paper 1: Literary Genres Drama Paper 1 focuses on Aspects of Tragedy. They will study one Shakespeare play (pre 1900) and one further drama text. Paper 2: Literary Genres: Prose and Poetry Again students will focus on Aspects of Tragedy. They will study one prose text and one poetry text. This course will allow students to read widely and independently, engage critically and creatively with set texts and wider reading, develop and apply own knowledge and explore the contexts of texts and different interpretations of them.
