Students learn from experienced tutors in the college's award winning training restaurant, kitchen and banqueting facilities. At advanced level, students can choose to study at the Walkden Sixth Form Centre or to join the Hospitality and Catering Academy at FutureSkills. You can learn all of the basic skills necessary for employment as a chef or restraunteur including the preparation and cooking of fish, meat, sauces and desserts or as a food and drink service professional. At advanced level you can develop your skills in either: Complex soups and sauces, vegetable and pasta dishes, as well as shellfish, meat and poultry dishes or Bar management, customer care and special event management.
