If you are under 24 years and have relevant employment, you could gain your qualifications via the Apprenticeship route. Apprenticeships allow you to learn, work, earn and get a qualification all at the same time. As an Apprentice you will work for an employer and be paid a wage or training allowance. You will have a contract of employment and be entitled to holidays and other terms of employment just like the rest of the workforce. If you are over 23 and have relevant employment you could undertake the NVQ Level 3 or equivalent via on-site assessment and training. If you have little or no previous experience in this trade and require the underpinning knowledge to develop a wide range of skills, please contact us for further information. You will need to make contact with employers, preferably by telephone, for interview opportunities. When you have an employer who has agreed to accept you as an Apprentice, inform the College who will arrange to meet with them and explain what is expected of you, of them and also the Colleges responsibilities
