The course covers 19 units predominately focusing on television and film',' with elements of audio and graphics embedded within the course. Topics covered include; - Creating a multi-camera show - Taking on a variety of studio roles - Producing a single-camera production - Creating idents for television - Audio book creation These topics will enable you to develop your communication and editing skills',' deliver pitches',' write reports and produce practical work Trips organised for the course will help develop your understanding of roles played within the media industries. Trips may include; being an audience member of a chat show',' visiting the BBC',' BFI and Sky Skills Studios',' screenings at local cinemas and visits to and from local media related companies. On the course you are assessed by practical tasks',' final productions and supporting written evidence',' reports and presentations. This course enables you to build a portfolio of practical work from the course',' entering UK and global competitions as well as partaking in opportunities linked with other departments at the College and the wider community.
