The Diploma in Promoting Health and Wellness is aimed at individuals wanting to pursue a career in the health, fitness and active leisure sectors. This qualification will suit individuals who want to become fitness instructors and/or health/wellness advisers. It is suitable for those considering employment/self - employment in different settings such as health and fitness clubs or in the wider community.

Name: Sports Therapy, Health & Well Being (Spartans) Qualification title: Diploma in Promoting Health and Wellness (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment You will build a portfolio based around evidence generated by the various assessment methods in each unit. You can expect to be assessed through: eAssessment multiple choice examination portfolio of evidence practical demonstration/assignment written examination Maths and English will be assessed through a controlled assessment or final exam. Entry requirements

You will need to purchase a kit. The cost of this will be finalised at the start of the course but is expected to be in the region of £70. An additional cost of £30 is to be paid for the year - end celebration meal and group team building event. This money is to be received before November. There may be additional costs incurred for selected trips or visits. On completion of the course, candidates may choose to pay for membership towards becoming a registered exercise professional (REP).
