A Day of Batik, Printing and Dyeing

Learn the skills of Batik using various techniques as well as dyeing. The course is largely individual project based which your tutor will assist you with at the beginning of the course., , By the end of the course students will be able to:, Design and use batik wax in individual project work., Apply dyes , Work with the dyes to combine colours effectively, Understand and apply Health and Safety procedures. Everyone from beginners to those with some experience in these processes.

Things you will need: For the class you will need a sketchbook,(any design ideas you have ) pens/pencils ,an apron, rubber gloves, any cotton fabric you have to hand. If you have any string , rubber bands, drawing pins, scissors. Please wait for your tutor to advice you before purchasing items., Fabric can be purchased at the class is necessary.
