Do you sometimes want to express yourself on paper but need some help? Then This Creative Writing - Develop your Skills in Canterbury is for you., You will share achievements and barriers with others and learn to give and receive constructive analysis of the written work. On this practical course you will be introduced to techniques of fiction writing and autobiography and will explore the links between the two forms of writing. Most of your written work will be done at home and shared with the group in a constructive way., By the end of this course you should be able to:, - Respond to and assess pieces of writing with sensitivity, - Demonstrate an understanding of what you may expect from creative writing classes, - Produce several short pieces of creative writing and one extended one, - Use your critical awareness., You should have a fair range of writing experience or have attended some similar courses/undertaken linked activities. Each of the three separate terms offered at this level are designed to help you go forward with your creative ideas and writing. Sharing work and then getting useful critique is an integral part of the course, though this is also supported by the tutor covering a broad range of approaches, tasks, ideas and styles for you to learn about then try.
