Pre Access (Group A - Mon-Wed)

If university is your goal and you do not yet meet the entry requirement for the Access to HE Diploma then this Pre-Access course is for you. This course is focused on developing your skills to enable you to access University or vocational based study. The course is specifically designed for students who do not yet have a full level 2 qualification or GCSE English grade A - C and who wish to progress to University through an Access to HE Diploma route. The course will develop and strengthen your English and math's skills to a high level 2 standard and you will work towards undertaking your GCSEs at the end of the programme. The course will introduce you to academic reading and subjects which will be delivered on the level 3 course. This course will provide an excellent grounding in academic writing as well as further enhancing your study skills. You will study over two terms to allow you to adapt, reflect and plan your individual learning journey. By the end of this course you will have experienced what it is like to be a long term residential student, undertaken a range of enrichment activities and widened your skills and knowledge of a variety of different subjects.
