This course is for beginner students and those who want to review and strengthen their basic belly dance technique. Classes are based on the Suhaila Salimpour Format - a modern vision of belly dance which focuses on developing true muscular intelligence and isolation. In this class students will develop the basic techniques necessary for all belly dance styles including posture and alignment, singles, pelvic locks, squares, circles, twists, figure 8s and more. Basic finger cymbal patterns will be covered after the half-term break.
