UPDATED 20151218 10:20:18

Discover the stages of upholstery using traditional techniques. Appreciate historical development. Beginners will follow a structured course working on a simple foot stool, bedhead or drop in dining chair seat. You will need to bring your furniture to be upholstered. You will also need: scissors, hammer, pliers, tape measure, upholstery tacks, notebook. No storage is available. Additional costs (over and above the published fee) for all learners: This will depend on the chair and its difficulty but learners are responsible for the costs and for the buying of the materials they require for their project. The tutor can supply materials for beginners to make a start and will advise on further equipment to buy. You can contact the tutor through a tutor manager jane.strother@abingdon-witney.ac.uk who will relay messages to the tutor.
