This Subsidiary Diploma develops the students' knowledge and skills required to work in the equine industry. All aspects of horse management are covered throughout the year with a mixture of practical and theoretical lectures which are delivered by a variety of specialist equine staff working at the College. Students cover 6 modules over the one year that will include; understanding the principles of horse behaviour, working horses from the ground, riding horses on the flat (*non-riders may choose a different unit). you will also select, fit and evaluate horse tack and equipment, study anatomy and horse physiology as well as learn the principles and practices of an equine stud.
