Title of course Computing - Microsoft Office 2013 Skills - L1 Award FT (SAT)What knowledge/skills will I learn on the course?Word 2013Excel 2013PowerPoint 2013Leading to the ITQ Level 1 AwardYou will learn how to:In WordTo use templates be able to format a document work with clip art pictures shapes and Word Art create and work with tables.In ExcelFormat edit and navigate around a spreadsheet use simple formulas and functions create graphs and charts use tools to summarise and display informationIn PowerPointCreate and design simple presentations use animations and transitions and use TemplatesHow will I be taught?Practical class work following initial tutor demonstrations. General class guidance is given by the tutor with some one-to-one guidance where appropriate. This is a fast track qualification.Will there be any work outside the class?To complete the course additional study time of approx 2 hours per week is required and access to a computer on which the relevant software is available. This work can be completed either at home or in the Sutton College ICLICK centre. Ask your tutor for opening times.How will I be assessed?The course is assessed using practical assignmentsWhat kind of feedback will I get from my tutor?Your tutor will give you regular feedback throughout the course and will discuss individual goals with you. In addition you will be working towards group goals.
