This course is an introduction for students interested in trying out making jewellery silversmithing. Beginners will be guided through a project to introduce the range of key metalworking skills including creating surface pattern on sheet, cutting out shapes, drilling, and creating 3D forms.. Students will be introduced to soldering, polishing and attaching ready-made findings or fabricating your own to complete a single jewellery item - either a ring, pendant or bangle. Students will work through the set project, planned specifically to introduce these skills and students to design and create their item from scratch in the single day.
