English - Developing Entry 2 Skills

UPDATED 20151214 13:20:38

With two sessions a week you can use your skills more, ask more questions and learn faster. This course will suit if you are a confident speaker but need to brush up your reading and writing. This class will help you improve your understanding of punctuation and the best way to read, understand and say unknown words when reading, writing and speaking. You will need good skills at Entry level 1, possibly with some at Entry level 2. The topics used will vary according to your own needs and interests focusing on skills for learning and work. Your skills will be assessed through qualifications at Entry Level 2. You will use computers and look at everyday maths skills we use when reading. There are regular points in the year you can join the class if there is availability. The learner's journey will be as follows: an induction and skills review period followed by learning assessed by one or two qualifications.
