Sports Psychology

Many elite level coaches have said sport is 70% mental. Understanding what makes an athlete do sport is the key to improving performance. This course will explore the areas of athlete motivation, personality, needs and environment. You will also look at how to improve focus, develop confidence and concentration whils reducing anxiety and stress. This course is designed for those that have no prior knowledge of sport psychology but have a keen interest or participation in sport.

Name: Sports Psychology Qualification title: Non regulated Community Learning provision, Science Qualification type: Assessment This course will be taught mainly by short seminars covering topics into Sport psychology. The seminars will be tutor lead however class discussion and opinion will be encouraged. There will also be class and group activities to aid learning.
