Furniture restoration All Levels

During the course depending on your progress you will learn about: Care and use of hand tools, chisels, planes etc. Basic woodwork repairs, joints, dowelling and their construction. Preparing, staining, polishing surfaces, and stripping when necessary. Use of different stains and products. The technique of french polishing. Health & Safety. By the end of the course depending on your level of experience you should be able to: Identify different timbers used in furniture construction. Polish, strip and stain small items of furniture. Repair a piece of furniture. Repair damaged furniture. Work within Health & Safety guidelines.
